It's almost Easter and I stand in awe as I ponder the greatness of Christ's love for us. "Love so amazing, so divine, demands my life my soul my all."
1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit."
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
If Easter be not true,
Then all the lilies low must lie;
The Flanders poppies fade and die.
The spring must lose her fairest bloom,
For Christ were still within the tomb...
If Easter be not true.
If Easter be not true
Then faith must mount on broken wing;

It's because of Christ's death on the cross that we have forgiveness of sins. It's because of His rising that we have hope.
